Match Overview

Five anglers took part in the second leg of the Rose Bowl, which was extremely wet, but none the less Wildings fished very well. Colin Ryall drew end peg 10 and managed a good Bream over 3-0-0 and over 125 silver fish for his 11-14-0 winning weight fishing the whip and the long pole with maggots over chopped worm. Tim Brightey made it two seconds in a row fishing peg sixteen with pole and maggots landing four reasonable skimmers and a decent net of silvers and an Eel, falling just short of Colin with 11-5-0. Third was Steve Pead on peg eighteen who started well with two skimmers on the method feeder and wafters in the first forty minutes but unfortunately that did not continue so he fished the whip with maggots and finished on casters for a better stamp of Rudd and Roach for 7-9-0 but too late to catch the others.
