Match Overview

Seventeen anglers found a frozen Sidewinder lake which meant everyone had to break the ice before they could wet a line. Unsurprisingly the fishing was hard going with very few Carp being landed during the match and the ice did not clear all day. Finding three Carp on peg 18 was Tim Brightey for 8-12-0 for top weight on the day managing to fish across on the pole with maggot. Second was Lew Nightingale who was bite less with just over an hour left when he had two Carp in quick succession and small skimmers for a level 8-0-0 from peg 8. Third was Kevin Baptiste on peg 23 who managed a nice net of silvers on pinkies catching all day for 5-13-0.
