Match Overview

Seven intrepid anglers took part in the 6th leg of the winter series. A cold (-2 C and three frozen padlocks later) day which became brighter but remained cold 5C max. All water colour has dropped out following the heavy rain and recent frosts. Bites were not plentiful with all fish coming in the first hour from the north bank. Despite a stewards enquiry on the accuracy of the digital scales, only one ounce separated the two fish.

Congratulations to Nigel Jackson for winning and commiserations to Kevin Tree for just missing out. Nigel used a pink wafter with a feeder feeding small amounts of ground bait and maggots. Kevin opted for a bomb and bread approach.
