Match Overview

 Six anglers took part in the third leg of winter series on Canal. It turned out to be a dry day despite a poor forecast and overnight rain, with late sunshine and light breezes.

Winner Keith Huggins had a fantastic net of 77lb 14oz on the eastern end peg. Keith caught two or three carp on a method feeder but most fish on 6m pole alternating expander pellets and corn over 2mm micros.

On the other end peg, runner up David Harper picked 33lb 7 oz of smaller stamp ornamental carp on the method / hybrid from a far bank mark and larger carp on the pole down margin and on long pole fishing across 14m. Steve Pead fished a mid section peg and netted 27lb 7oz for third place with carp and almost 5lb in his silvers net.
