Match Overview

On a wet day seven anglers faced a low river. The draw was a walk off with five fishing the first field below the weir and two above the weir. Steve Pead choose to fish the willow swim and had three good Chub and three Trout and some bits for a winning 8-2-0 fishing pole and waggler. Joint runners up Rod Brown and Rowland Smith both had 4-4-0, Rod fished the favoured weir pool for a mixed silver fish net, unfortunately he put back six Trout not realising that they were eligible in this match, he fished mainly stick float. Rowland’s weight was mostly made up of Trout also on the stick float from the outflow swim above the weir.
