Match Overview

13 anglers took part in the 11th match in the summer series with mild and sunny conditions with a light breeze. Water levels remain low, but this did not seem to put off the fish with a total of 62 carp being landed.

Winner Norman Cragg netted 12 carp to win with 52lb 9oz, in second place Lew Nightingale had 8 carp for 46lb. In third place, Graham Shinkfield landed 5 carp for 35lb. Special mention to Ted O’Dell who climbed into the water to release a stranded carp during the match.

The current summer series is very close and is determined with the best 9 point scores from the 12 leg series. The anglers in contention are Keith Huggins, Kevin Tree and Steve Pead close behind. The match will come down to the final match results in two weeks time.
