Keith Huggins was disappointed with drawing peg 25 out of the bag believing he had little chance of competing with the more favoured pegs, but he turned in a top performance and put 163-1-0 on the scales to just edge out Ben Cooke who thought his 143-14-0 from peg 41 would be enough to win the match. Keith fished meat and pellets on the pole short and long down the margins to catch from the off. Ben fished the pole with meat, worms and pellets catching at his feet towards the end of the match, his largest Carpn went 13-9-0. A distant third was Dave Morris with 60-3-0 from peg 28 catching on the pole and also the method feeder.
