Match Overview

On a windy day seven anglers fished the latest O.A.P. match on Canal at More House Farm and Steve Pead was fortunate to have peg 20 drawn for him. The Carp had followed the wind, and he caught from the off and then steadily throughout the day landing nine on the method feeder and orange wafter before turning to the pole and maggots short to land another six Carp for 61-0-0 and a comfortable victory. Second went to Kevin Tree on peg 8 with a good start on maggot feeder before his swim died and he had to wait till the last half hour when he managed to nick another fish giving him nine Carp for his 39-4-0. Third went to Darren Chilcott who was questing as he is still one year off from being an old fart, he fished the pole and maggots to land five Carp for 23-6-0, one on the final whistle, which pushed out Nigel Jackson.
