Match Overview

The penultimate match in the OAP summer series produced some good weights again at Decoy with Nigel Jackson yet again proving to be almost unbeatable at the venue. Drawing peg 36 he once again did not waiver from his usual paste approach and fishing the pole at twelve metres out into the lake he crashed out just over 70-0-0 to win the match by 2-0-0. Second went to Lew Nightingale on peg 8, he started well on the feeder and wafters until the bites dried up, so he then went down the margins with paste to finish well but just one Carp shy of the win. Third went to Keith Huggins on peg 15 with just over 62-0-0, he could not get a bite on the feeder so he fished the pellet waggler and also went down the margins late on with paste, he regretted losing four Carp on the pellet waggler which he could not stop, and they did him in the pads. With one match left in the series Nigel has an unassailable lead for the cup.
