Match Overview

Following particularly adverse overnight weather warnings, three brave anglers tackled the demanding weather conditions of rain, sleet and early snow of the series final match. The day ended up being as predicted ; wet, cold and windy day. Nigel Jackson won the match with 13lb 4oz of pole caught small carp and several skimmers on paste and and worm. Very close behind, was Steve Pead as runner up with 13lb of pole caught F1’s and two decent skimmers caught on maggot. In third place was Colin Ryall with 9lb 14oz consisting of 75 silvers caught on the pole with maggot. Well done lads, a great effort.

Series Overview

The winner of the SNRS winter series was Kevin Tree with an outstanding 72 points based on the best 9 points from the 12 matches. In second place was Nigel Jackson (“Mr Paste”) with 60 points and in third place was Steve Pead with 48 points. Congratulations to Kevin on his series win.

20 club members took part in the series series with 99 attendances which this year was particularly impacted by poor winter weather on several occasions , with one match actually being cancelled. Thanks to everyone that took part.
