Match Overview

The penultimate round of the summer O.A.P. series was contested by five anglers on a very wet day at Badgers Wood. Steve Pead came out on top from peg 3 using various methods through out the day, catching on maggots and worms. He had four Barbel and nine skimmers backed up with a good number of silver fish and finished with a 4-0-0 Tench near the end of the match for his 11-4-0. Nigel Jackson also landed two Tench late on from peg 7 on pole and worm, when added to his silver fish he weighed in 9-9-0 to push Dave Harper into third. Dave was on peg 9 and fished long pole most of the day putting in a lot of chopped worms, he had a Bream just over 3-0-0 and some Barbel and several skimmers which gave him 7-4-0 when added to his silver fish. With the final round at Wildings  it is between Keith Huggins and Nigel Jackson for the cup as they are level on points.
