Match Overview
Nigel Jackson won the final leg of this year’s Rose Bowl and clinched the title in a very close finish winning on weight after tying with Colin Ryall on 44 points after the series taking the top five points tally from the six matches. Nigel won the night in a convincing fashion after drawing peg 22 and fishing his favourite pole and paste. He landed his first Carp of four after one hour and forty-five minutes before backing it up with the night’s best Carp of exactly 15-0-0 and another of just over 12-0-0. To add insult to injury he also had a Tench of 2-8-0 and some silver fish to finish with 43-3-0. Colin Ryall who did not finish out of the top three in the six matches was drawn on the other end peg, 10, fished for silver fish on pole and whip came second with 2-15-0 with over one hundred very small silver fish. Third on the night and third overall with 41 points was Tim Brightey with one skimmer Bream caught on the method feeder and backed up with some small silver fish on the pole for 2-11-0 from peg 12.
