Match Overview

The three way inter club match at Wilderness lakes saw twenty-seven take part over two lakes on a warm sunny day. Yet again Ben Cooke, fishing for Hassocks showed how effective fishing the pellet waggler can be when fished correctly. He won the match by more than forty-seven pounds with 110-10-0 and helped Hassocks to a winning margin over Isfield by fifty-one pounds. Second was Isfield angler Geoff Bridger on the end peg on the main lake fishing the pole in a shallow peg with 67-0-0 fishing paste and unfortunately losing many Carp due to a snag. Third fishing for Haywards Heath was Rowland Smith with 61-0-0 from the next peg using the method feeder fished long with wafters, after feeding the margins he dropped the feeder down the edge for some lumps late on. The top four from each club counted to the team results with Haywards Heath finishing third twenty-five pounds behind Isfield.
