The latest interclub match with Seaford was on the boating lake at Piddinghoe and it proved to be a challenging affair with the boaters out in force constantly falling off their wind surfacing boards and overturning their small sailing boats in the blustery conditions. Dave Larby fishing for Hassocks fortunately drew peg 1 and therefore was not affected quite so much and he made the most of it. He fished the method feeder and wafters and landed a Carp just over 21-0-0 on his first cast backed up with another of 16-0-0 in his winning 90-2-0. Dave Hughes representing Seaford came second from peg 5 he managed 50-15-0 also fishing the method feeder, he had some skimmer Bream to back up his Carp net. Third also fishing for Seaford was venue specialist Jason Welfare on peg 8 he landed 38-0-0 of Carp and 8-0-0 of skimmers changing to cage feeder and worm after the boating fraternity stopped him from casting to his distance swim.
