Match Overview

There was a very cold easterly wind for the fourth leg of the More House Farm series which did not help the fishing, with ten out of the fourteen taking part not troubling the scales. Out of the remaining four anglers Les Hickman landed the only Carp on the day with twenty minutes left. It weighed 9-7-0 and gave him a very comfortable win; he caught it on single pinkie on a size twenty hook on the pole from peg 50. Second on the day was Nigel Jackson also fishing the pole and pinkie on peg 10 with a 0-2-0 skimmer, third was Colin Ryall with a Roach of 0-1-0 with the same method from peg 33. With the final leg another four weeks away, everyone hopes the fishery will have improved as it can not be any worse with only four fish landed all day.
