Match Overview

Fourteen took part in the first of the five match winter series on a very wet and windy day at More House Farm. The fishing was always going to be hard due to the conditions but with Sidewinder also the colour of chocolate and twelve inches higher than normal with many swims under water it proved to be worse than expected. Top on the day was Dave Morris who drew favoured peg forty-three in section two, he managed three Carp all on the method feeder, the last one just on the final whistle for 9-14-0. Second came from section one, with Jerry Morgan landing two Carp on the pole for 8-8-0. Third was Nigel Jackson who was also in section two with 6-6-0 with a Carp just over 6-0-0 caught just under his feet on a maggot and a size twenty hook on the pole. Hopefully the next round in a fortnight’s time will see better results.
