Match Overview
A low turnout for this interclub match against Billingshurst on a sunny day where six anglers expected the Carp to feed were slightly disappointed as only four were caught but the Roach and Rudd more than made up for that. Colin Ryall easily won the Turner cup with a quality net of Roach and Rudd fishing the whip and the short pole with maggots for an impressive 20-14-0 despite his swim dying in the last hour. Runner up on the day was Billingshurst angler Mike Joliffe who had the biggest Carp on the day at 7-8-0 backed up with 5-15-0 of Rudd and Roach for his 13-7-0 all on the pole. Third was Steve Pead with some quality Roach all on the whip alternating between maggots and casters. On the day the top two from each club meant that Hassocks came out on top 31-5-0 to Billinghurst’s 18-2-0.
