Match Overview

A bright sunny day greeted the 10 anglers for this latest club match, but unfortunately the tree pollen had covered the lake, which was going to make fishing difficult, the slight breeze pushed most of the pollen to the bottom corner towards peg 15 which severely hampered Lew Nightingale. On the day peg 26 again came out on top with Colin Ryall landing nine Carp for 56-11-0 fishing the method feeder and wafters and pellet Waggler also on wafters. Runner up was Keith Huggins on peg 30 who would have been even closer if he had not gone just under 4-0-0 over the net limit and therefore having his weight knocked back, he caught on the method feeder and later picked up some margin Carp on the pole. Third was Norman Cragg from end peg 1 with just under 45-0-0 all caught on the method feeder and a variety of colours throughout the day to keep them going.
