Match Overview
A slightly warmer but still breezy day greeted the six participants for this year’s drawn pairs competition. Top individual on the day was Hugh Neatherway off of fancied peg 22, he managed two Carp with a best of 10-15-0 caught on orange wafter on the method, he backed these up with two skimmers and some small silvers for his 18-15-0 total. Runner up was ever consistent Lew Nightingale from peg 16 with seven decent skimmers and a hybrid all on feeder and a variety of coloured wafters for 13-15-0, third from peg 12 was Sam beckinsale who had five good skimmers and several small Roach for 13-5-0 all on the pole and maggot over ground bait and micros. The top combined weight went to Lew and Sam with 27-4-0 therefore becoming this years drawn pairs champions, not far behind in second were Hugh and Steve with 21-4-0 and third were remaining pair Nigel and Mick with 7-6-0.
