Match Overview

Seven anglers attended the final leg of the Decoy Cup on a dry blustery day, and the match was extremely close with several fished landed on the final whistle. Coming out on top was Keith Huggins by the narrowest margin weighing in two Carp for 13-2-0 caught on bomb and pellet from peg 21, he also had the largest fish of the day at 9-14-0.  Runner up Rod brown landed a Carp on the final whistle to weigh in three fish for 13-1-0 also on bomb but with sweet corn as bait from peg 9, third was Steve Pead who also landed a Carp on the final whistle for his second Carp of the day on peg 36 for 12-7-0. He had the first on bomb and bread and the second on margin pole and corn. The winner of the cup was Keith Huggins with his best three results out of four totalling 27 points easily beating the next best which was Steve Pead and Lew Nightingale on 17 points.
