Cemetery Wood

River Adur

River Adur

A short stretch of the upper Adur from below Sakeham Sluice to Cemetery Wood, this stretch has all the usual river species including some good Pike and Bream.

Access

Access to all parts of the river is across fields. There is a bridge across the old mill stream for the former mill at Shermanbury Place, but the bridge is too narrow for a trolley.

All rivers are closed for coarse fishing from 15 March through to the 15 June inclusive.

The banks are quite high and steep in places. Risk of flooding. The field down to the river is also quite steep and very slippery in the wet.
