Decoy Lake

Decoy Lake

Decoy lake is an excellent mixed fishery offering a variety of species to target. tench, rudd, roach, perch, chub, crucian carp and common carp populate the lake in abundance, it's not unusual to catch most species in a match.

The target species is carp, most of the matches are won with carp near the reeds on the method, but all species can be caught with the pole or waggler about 8-10 meters out, all baits work on this water, try something different.

In the winter months go for the silvers as the carp fishing slows down, a whip can be useful particularly for roach and perch as a reliable alternative to the carp. Perch are worth targeting and we generally have a perch cup match during the winter at Decoy.
